Walmart brings drone delivery to Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Walmart is expanding its 30-minute drone delivery, Wing, to Memphis.

Anyone living within the delivery zone will be able to order Walmart items through the Wing app and get them delivered by a drone cruising at speeds up to 60 miles per hour.

Memphis is one of several newly-announced cities joining the program, which will soon cover 20 U.S. markets.

The specific Walmart locations are unknown at this time; however, Bartlett city leaders say Walmart is planning to launch their services at the Bartlett Supercenter location on Highway 64.

It’s unclear when exactly the drone deliveries will begin.
