Bond set at $16M for man charged with sexually abusing children

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Bond has been set at $16 million for a man who allegedly sexually abused two underage girls.
On Wednesday, Stephen Rene Dickens appeared in Jackson Municipal Court, where he was charged with eight counts in connection with sexually abusing a 5-year-old and 13-year-old.
The abuse of the 13-year-old began when the girl was 11, according to information revealed in court.
Judge Jeffrey Reynolds set bond at $2 million per charge. Dickens also is prohibited from having contact with any child under 18 years old.
Both victims’ stories were corroborated by the Children’s Advocacy Center.
