ATLANTA (WANF/Gray News) - A young man in Georgia is making the most of his education opportunities thanks to being an extraordinary learner.

Joshua Suddith wrote a children’s book at the age of 3. At age 7, he was enrolled in a Duke University talent program. And now at 13, Joshua is college-bound.

The 13-year-old currently attends Hills Academy in Conyers, and as he makes his college decision he has a lot of choices.

Joshua’s family says he has been accepted into more than 20 colleges.

“His grit and resilience speaks for itself. He didn’t let any challenges get in the way of his dream,” the boy’s parents said in a statement.

Joshua is also a dual enrollment student at Augusta Technical College, where he has 27 credit hours and a 3.88 GPA.

But not all of his life is dedicated to textbooks — he enjoys playing basketball and the piano.

“I am driven by a passion for learning and making a positive impact in the world,” the teenager said in a personal statement. “Whether it’s excelling in academics or inspiring others, I am committed to growing and improving.”

His No. 1 historically Black college choice so far is Atlanta’s Morehouse College. He also has outstanding applications that include Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Georgia Tech.
