Beale Street performer killed in South Memphis shooting; police searching for suspects

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that happened Friday night in a neighborhood near Elmwood Cemetery.
At 6:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to a shooting at East Alston Avenue near Porter Street.
A department spokesperson says one man, later identified by family as Tajuan Todd, a Beale Street performer, was pronounced dead at the scene, adding that no suspect information is available at this time.
