MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Friday morning, hundreds of people gather to finish Eliza Fletcher’s run in her honor.

The fourth annual Finish Liza’s Run was founded to honor the Memphis mother of two and beloved teacher, Eliza Fletcher, who was kidnapped and killed during her morning jog in September 2022.

Her killer, Cleotha Henderson, was later charged with murder in connection with Fletcher’s case and is now serving a life sentence.

Action News 5’s Taylor Tucker was able to speak with the event’s organizer about the importance of keeping Eliza Fletcher’s alive.
