MPD: Man killed in homicide in Orange Mound, police looking for suspects
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Police Department is investigating a homicide that took place on June 2.
On Monday, June 2, at approximately 10:56 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call at 1461 Pendleton Street.
MPD located a male victim lying on the ground across the street from the store, suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.
Investigators obtained video footage, which showed that before the shooting, the victim was involved in an argument.
The altercation was with a person of interest in this case, a man identified as “Ray Ray.”
“Ray Ray” can be seen walking to the south side of the store out of camera view.
The victim then walked around the corner of the store with an unidentified female wearing a green shirt and black pants, which is where “Ray Ray” was last seen going.
MPD reported that after the shooting, “Ray Ray” got into a white four-door Chrysler 300 with a black hood, fleeing the scene westbound on Deadrick Avenue.
The unidentified female fled the scene northbound on Pendleton Street.
No arrest has been made at this time.
