CCFD: Driver rescued by pedestrians after car rolls over into lake
COAHOMA COUNTY, Miss. (WMC) - The Coahoma County Fire Department reported of driver who was rescued after being entrapped in a vehicle that rolled on its side and off the roadway late Saturday night.
Saturday night at approximately 11:07 p.m., CCFD and Pafford EMS units responded to a vehicle roll over where the driver was reported to be trapped inside near Lula on Highway 61.
First responders arrived to find the vehicle off the roadway in a lake with the injured occupant outside the car.
Bystanders reported that they assisted in getting the driver out by breaking the driver’s side window.
Paramedics assumed care on-site, and firefighters from Lula, Jonestown, Lyon, and Friars Point responded.
