Tennessee man charged with selling child sex abuse material on social media

TIPTON CO., Tenn. (WMC) - The Tipton County Sheriff’s Office has charged a 22-year-old with sexual exploitation of a minor after receiving a cyber tip about explicit material online.

Noah N. Norris is accused of selling sexually abusive material involving children on social media. He has since been released on a $25,000 bond and is set to appear in court on November 15.

Tipton County Sheriff Shannon Beasley says that Norris' home along Jamestown Road was searched on Friday, October 18. Multiple electronic devices were seized for evaluation.

The arrest comes after a cyber tip that was sent to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which works with more than 5,000 law enforcement agencies nationwide to find and arrest child predators.

“Once again, we are confronted with a disturbing reality: a child predator lurks in the shadows of technology, confident that their heinous acts will remain unnoticed,” said Sheriff Beasley. “I urge all members of our community to remain vigilant in monitoring their children’s online activities. I extend my deepest appreciation to our dedicated detectives and ICAC affiliates for their exemplary work in ensuring the safety of our children.”
