ST. FRANCIS CO., AR (WMC) - A FedEx truck crashed into a creek off Interstate 40 in Arkansas.

The crash happened Friday afternoon on westbound I-40 between Forrest City and West Memphis. Traffic remained backed up in the area for several hours but is now flowing again.

St. Francis County Sheriff's Department said the driver of the FedEx truck was airlifted to the hospital. First responders said he was conscious.

Arkansas State Police said the FedEx trailer was hauling paint. Officers said there were no hazardous materials on the truck.

Another semi-truck was involved in the crash. The driver of that truck was not injured.
