Armed teens charged with carjacking 68-year-old man

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - At 10 p.m. on January 27, officers responded to a carjacking report on Ashland Street and Mosby Road.

When officers arrived at the scene, they were informed by a 68-year-old victim that he had been approached by three male teenagers, aged 14, 15, and 16, all of which were armed. Police said the suspects aimed their weapons at the victim and demanded that he hand over the keys to his 2006 Chevrolet Uplander, and the 68-year-old complied.

Hours later, officers found the vehicle and detained two of the suspects, later finding the third suspect in an abandoned house nearby. All three teens were charged with carjacking and transported to Juvenile Court.
