MPD: Man kills woman following argument over stolen dogs
MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Memphis Police Department is searching for the man accused of killing a woman outside her car on Cambridge Avenue near Latham Street.
MPD said 44-year-old Sylvia Hunt was arguing with the suspect on November 25 around 6:30 p.m. The two were said to be arguing about stolen dogs.
During the argument, the suspect put his 2008 Ford Taurus SUV in reverse, hitting Hunt with his open drivers' side door.
Hunt fell to the pavement. She was taken to the hospital, but died from her injuries on November 30.
After hitting Hunt, the SUV crashed into another car on Cambridge Avenue while driving in reverse. The driver then shifted into drive and crashed into a fence. The driver then ran away.
