MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A local dog owner is missing his best friend after his dog went missing from outside of a Midtown pharmacy.

Surveillance video shows a woman walk off with the dog last Tuesday.

Jim Evans is the dog's owner. His dog named "God" was tied to the cigarette disposal outside of the store, when surveillance video shows a woman untie him and walk off.

"Emptiness, just emptiness," Evans said. Evans said he does not have the words to describe how he felt when he realized the dog was gone but he is working to get the dog back.

Missing dog posters have been placed around Midtown.

"I take her everywhere, absolutely everywhere," Evans said.

Evans said he has owned the dog for 10 years and the dog is well trained. The dog is an Australian Shepard mix and weighs around 45 pounds. He also says the dog has an allergy that requires medicine.

He asking anyone with information to call 901-258-2514.
