Dance coach accused of raping, exposing boy to HIV

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A dance coach was arrested for statutory rape.
Police said John Conner, 27, had sex with a boy that he met on social media.
According to the affidavit, the two had unprotected sex several times, even though Conner was diagnosed with HIV in 2012.
Police said the boy was 16 at the time.
Sources said Conner is the dance coach for the Dancerettes that were featured on the popular Lifetime show "Bring It."
The Infamous Dancerettes coach posted on Facebook that he turned himself in and is innocent, writing "I have nothing to run from or hold my head down for."
Conner is charged with statutory rape by an authority figure and criminal exposure to HIV.
