Man shot by two SCSO deputies dies

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A man shot by two Shelby County Sheriff's deputies died.
According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Edmond Studdard died on September 4.
Two Shelby County Sheriff's Office deputies were placed on administrative leave with pay following the shooting of Studdard on Thursday, July 7.
The identities of the deputies have not been released.
The deputies said Studdard was walking down the street with a knife in his hand near A and H Iron Works in Cordova. He was taken to Regional Medical Center for treatment and listed in critical condition.
TBI said this is an active and ongoing investigation and an autopsy is expected to be performed.
