MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Wednesday, The Mid-South Food Bank received a check from a Memphis shoe designer that will result in 3,000 meals for children facing food insecurities this summer.
So Giv's Edward Bogard presented the check at the food bank's Memphis headquarters as part of a fundraiser for their limited edition SoGiv Food Bank shoe.
To date, the non-profit shoe company reports it has donated roughly 13,000 meals to the food bank, since launching the SoGiv Food Bank shoe.
The company's business model is that for every shoe sold, a portion of the proceeds go to one of 18 causes, from cancer to poverty.
