MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - To say Food Network star Alton Brown is a fan of Gibson's Donuts would be an understatement.

A fan from Memphis brought Brown some Gibson's Donuts, much to his delight.

Brown claims Gibson's has the best donuts in America, and who are we to disagree?

"There is no finer donut in the United States that I know of," Brown said.

Check out the hilarious video below:

Brown is best known for his Food Network series, "Good Eats."

Jason Dominioni, a fan of Alton's, attended Brown's show in Alabama and decided to bring him a gift.

"They wanted to see if they could get backstage with a dozen and so they just asked to pack them up and it worked apparently," Gibson's staff member Anna Bella said.

As usual, loyal customers packed Gibson's for some donuts Wednesday morning.

"I don't think I've had a weekend since I've been here that we haven't had a line out the door," Bella said.

The Gibson's staff said they are thrilled to have the spotlight, but they don't plan on expanding anytime soon.

"Yes, it's a local thing," Bella said. "If you stay small, your quality stays big."

Dominioni said Brown was "profusely thankful," and they chatted after the show for 10 minutes. He said he never thought the donut trick would work!
