Police identify man killed on Dempster Ave

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - One person was shot and killed on East Dempster Avenue on Monday morning.
Police later identified the victim as 24-year-old Gerial Jeans.
The shooting happened near South Orleans Street and Prospect Street. Officers said Jeans was inside a car when he was shot.
Police said they found a Jeans inside a 2002 Jeep Cherokee. He was pronounced dead on the scene. The front of his jeep was heavily damaged.
Around the corner on McMillan Street, a white Ford F-150 had rear-end damage. Police said the truck was unoccupied when the jeep hit it.
Police said no arrests have been made at this time.
