MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - An all-out brawl inside a Memphis fast food restaurant was caught on camera.

A WMC Action News 5 viewer said they took the footage at the Burger King near the intersection of Poplar Avenue and Cleveland Street.

In the video, several young people can be seen fighting near the counter. The people appear to be in school uniforms.

The video shows what appears to be students throwing punches, pulling hair, and standing on counters in a local fast food restaurant. Many Memphians are not surprised.

"They don't have good direction. Their moms and dads let them run crazy," William Mackinac said.

The restaurant is very close to Northwest Prep Academy. Several students from the school were charged in the mob attack at the BP gas station at the same intersection. Two students over the age of 18 pleaded guilty in the riot.

"It's surrounded by a lot of gangs. School kids want to join in all the time, and they start fights everywhere," Wayne Dowdy said.

In the YouTube description of the video, the publisher titled the video, "Vice Lords vs Fast Cash," the names of well known gangs in the area. Memphis Police Department said it is investigating the video, but was unable to confirm if any gangs were actually involved.

"The only thing that can be done is putting a uniform officer for security," Mackinac said.

We have reached out to Burger King and Shelby County Schools for comment on the incident.

"Pray for Memphis. That's all I can say," Dowdy said.
