Former Ole Miss player killed in crash on Highway 78

MARSHALL CO., MS (WMC) - Two accidents on Highway 78 in Mississippi closed both lanes of the road for a period of time Saturday night.
The accidents happened near mile marker 29 near Holly Springs.
The Marshall County Coroner confirmed that one man died. The man was identified as former Ole Miss football player Maikhail Miller.

In the other crash, a 7-year-old was airlifted to the hospital. The child's condition is currently unknown.
The crashes happened at two different times and investigators believe they were unrelated.
