2 teens, man charged with fatal shooting in apartment complex
MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A man and two teenagers are behind bars Monday morning, accused of shooting and killing a woman in an apartment complex November 8.
Police said Isiah Smith, 19, shot a woman and a man during a robbery Sunday, November 8 in the Alden Gate Apartments. Police later arrested two boys, one 14 and the other 15 years old. Police said both were accomplices in the robbery and murder.
The woman died from her injuries. The man was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition, but recovered and was later released from the hospital.
The man told police Smith was one of the men who robbed him of $600 in cash and drugs before opening fire on him and the woman.
All three are charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree murder, and using a firearm with intention to commit a felony. Memphis Police Department does not have mugshots for the 14- or 15-year-old, because they are being held in the juvenile detention center.
