MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A Memphis dad transformed his car to give his son an awesome surprise.

Brett Winek's 3-year-old son is a huge fan of the movie Cars. He's particularly nuts about characters Lightning McQueen and Mater.

When Brett recently bought a car in race red, he noticed the color was strikingly similar to his son's Lightning McQueen toy car.

Naturally, he decided to surprise his son with a project.

After calling all around Memphis, Brett found Tennessee Tint in Bartlett, who helped him transform his new red Mustang into a real-life Lightning McQueen.

Brett plans on taking Lightning to car shows for kids to enjoy.
