Sherrie Miller Daly surrenders, love triangle details emerge
MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Sherrie Miller Daly spent ten days as a fugitive from justice, but Monday morning, she turned herself in to police.
Miller, the ex-wife of professional golfer John Daly, turned herself in on harassment and extortion charges. She posted bond shortly after surrendering.
Investigators said a love triangle between her, her boyfriend, and a Mid-South middle school teacher is behind the legal trouble.
Miller found sexually explicit pictures on her boyfriend's phone. Investigators said she then texted the woman in those pictures and threatened to post them on social media.
Then, she went through with the threat.
It appears this is not an isolated event. Court records show that Miller previously filed an order of protection against the middle school teacher previously.
That protection said miller was receiving threatening text messages from the teacher, but as of Monday, Miller is the only one of the women who has been charged.
Miller is out on a $3,000 bond. She's expected to face a judge Thursday.
