Police: Man shot after ride to convenience store

A man is in the hospital a he was shot near Tulane and Winchester roads Friday night.
The 21-year-old man told police he met a girl and got her phone number. He later called her, asking for a ride to a convenience store.
When he got out the car, a man jumped out of the trunk and started shooting at him.
The man was taken to Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
No arrests have been made. This is an ongoing investigation.
