August could see return of trolley-like transportation

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - In a matter of weeks, Downtown Memphis trolleys could be back up and running...sort of.
New trolley buses are expected to hit the streets in August.
The eight buses will follow the trolley route and look like vintage trolleys, but they run on rubber tires.
Four of the eight buses are expected to get moving in August while city leaders continue to work to get the real trolleys back in action.
The Commercial Appeal reports the trolley buses cost about $1.18 million dollars total.
