Family pleads for closure in loved one's unsolved murder
MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A murdered Memphis man's family demands answers in their loved one's death.
It's been more than a year since a George Hooks was shot and killed on his way home from work.
Police found his body on May 1, 2013 near his truck and since then, nobody has been arrested or charged with any crime.
"It would take--I don't know--a person to walk in my shoes to know what my feelings are," Rosemary Hooks, George's mother, said. "It's hurting 24 hours a day, and it's even worse not knowing what happened,"
Rosemary showed WMC Action News 5 pictures of her son saying he was a good son, father, and husband that didn't deserve to die.
She and other members of Hooks' family say they want and deserve closure. They're pleading that anyone with information about who killed George Hooks come forward.
"I'm hoping somebody will remember and decide they want to go to the police and tell them what happened," Rosemary Hooks said.
