One found dead following house fire

(WMC) - One person was found dead in Memphis following an early morning house fire.
Memphis Fire Department responded to 1508 Raven Avenue shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday morning. After controlling the blaze at 4:27 a.m., firefighters found the body of an adult female in a rear bedroom.
The name and age of the victim have not been released at this time. Red Cross provided assistance to one adult and two children.
Officials are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
The Memphis Fire Department urges all residents to maintain a working smoke detector in their home. Any Memphis resident can apply for a free smoke detector by calling the Fire Museum of Memphis at 901-636-5650.
