(WMC) - A former high school teacher and Memphis firefighter have been indicted for aggravated statutory rape by the Shelby County District Attorney's office.

Investigators say Michael Lewis, 32, and his roommate Bryan Wilson, 32, raped the teens on more than one occasion.

Lewis worked as a teacher and assistant baseball coach at Bolton High School. Investigators say he even raped one of the girls in his classroom.

A 17-year-old told investigators in February she had been involved in a sexual relationship with Lewis.

According to the affidavit of complaint, she had also spent more than three nights with Lewis at his personal residence, in addition to have sex in his classroom.

Wilson is accused of having sex with a different 17-year-old at the same house.

Memphis Fire Department says Wilson is suspended pending the investigation. Shelby County Schools says Lewis is off the job without pay pending the investigation.

Lewis is out of jail on a $30,000 bond. Wilson is also out of jail. His bond was $25,000.

The Shelby County District Attorney's Special Victims Unit will prosecute the case.
