(WMC-TV) – Memphis police are investigation two murders that happened over the weekend.

The first murder happened Saturday just after midnight at a home on the 700 block of Montgomery Street.

When police arrived on the scene, they found 23-year-old Dareus McKnuckles suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to The MED where he died a few hours later.

Investigators believe McKnuckles knew the shooter but no arrests have been made.

The second shooting happened just after 1 p.m. Sunday in a parking lot near the intersection of Thomas Street and Plum Avenue in North Memphis.

Aaron Vaughn, 40, had been shot several times across the street from the CC Blues Club. He was taken to The MED in critical condition. At 2:46 a.m. Monday, he was pronounced dead.

Police have not released information about a possible suspect at this time.
