Victims identified in Wednesday shootings
(WMC-TV) – The names of the two men murdered within a mile and a half of each other have been released.
The man killed on 1046 Bradley Street just after 3 p.m. Wednesday has been identified as 33-year-old Billy Webb. Initially, police reported him to be 22 years old.
Police arrived on the scene to find Webb suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to The MED where he was later pronounced dead.
The suspect is described as a black man, about 5'10" tall, 175 pounds. He had a mustache, medium length dreadlocks and was wearing a white t-shirt and jean shorts. He may have left the scene in a black Mercedes.
A second man was shot to death just over a mile away. This shooting happened at 2354 Douglass Avenue a few hours after the murder on Bradley Street.
The victim is identified as Winford Williams, 62. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
No arrests have been made in either shooting. Police have not said whether the crimes are connected.
