CHICAGO (CNN) - A Chicago resident is now the talk of the town after he got revenge on the woman who stole his snow shovel.

The clever way David Welles decided to get the thief back was all caught on tape.

Welles keeps a good watch on what is going on around him by owning tunnel vision technology and having cameras all over his home, inside and out.

When Welles shovel went missing during the third-biggest blizzard in Chicago history, all he had to do was log on to his system to find out who the culprit was.

A neighbor he's seen around took the shovel from right under his nose, and Wells said it wouldn't be a big deal if she had returned it. Welles had recently purchased a snow blower and was very eager to use it.

"I got a little, I guess passive aggressive," Welles said. "And I got a new snow blower so I was kind of excited to bury her car."

Welles walked back and forth and literally buried the neighbor's car in snow.

The woman didn't seem fazed when she saw her car, and starting brushing all the snow off, which took close to four hours, Welles said.

"It felt really good," he said. "I'm not going to lie, it felt really good."

Welles posted the video on YouTube.
