MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Richard Dickerson was charged with the murder of his girlfriend, Jacklyn Miller, Friday.
Dickerson was charged with second degree murder. He is accused of killing Miller, who went missing November 17.
On November 24, an anonymous Crime Stoppers tip led investigators to the Willow Creek Apartments, where they found Miller's 1998 Mazda 626 inside the gate on the edge of the parking lot. After towing the car, investigators opened the trunk to find Miller's body inside.
Dickerson was arrested and locked up Wednesday on a 48-hour investigative hold. Police used all of those 48 hours before charging Dickerson.
Police said a thorough investigation pointed to Dickerson as the killer.
