For viewers in the Memphis metro area: WMC currently broadcasts from our digital transmission facility located on Crestview road which is just off Covington Pike near all the auto dealerships. If you live within about 16 miles of our transmitter site you should be able to use an indoor antenna to receive our signal.

We have found that there are a lot of antennas that have "fine tuning" knobs and amplified antennas which do not work well at all.  We have been recommending an antenna available at Home Depot. It is made by GE, and the Home Depot part number is 24734. It is labeled as an "Easy Adjust" antenna and is a simple set of rabbit ears.  It currently costs less than $17.00 and we have asked all the local Home Depot's to increase their stock to have them on hand.

For viewers outside Memphis: Living outside of about 16 miles from our digital transmission facility located at Crestview Lane in Memphis means you will most likely need an outdoor antenna in order to reliably receive a signal.

Please verify you have a VHF/UHF antenna and that it is pointed correctly.  A lot of TV's or converter boxes have an option to display a signal strength meter.  If your TV will tune to 5.1 then call up that meter and point the antenna for maximum signal. If you cannot tune to 5.1 then tune to Channel 13.1 and peak your signal on that.  Then rescan your converter box or digital television to find channel 5.1.

We recommend the Channel Master CM3016 for viewers living up to 45 miles from our transmitter location.  If you live beyond that up to 60 miles use the CM3018.  Both are available from Solid Signal at or 1-866-474-7286.
