Flynn Snyder

Flynn joined the WTOC team in January 2022 as a Multimedia Journalist.

He graduated from the University of South Carolina in Columbia with a degree in broadcast journalism. During his time in college, Flynn covered several stories including the 2020 South Carolina presidential primary election and high-profile music events.

Flynn’s experience goes beyond the T.V. screen. He worked as news director for UofSC’s campus radio station and helped produce podcasts for the university. He spent a summer working for a digital newsletter outlet curating social media content and covered the South Carolina State House.

His college work received awards from organizations like the N.A.T.A.S. Southeast Foundation and the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas.

Flynn is originally from Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C. He’s not new to the Coastal Empire, though. His family has been visiting Saint Simons Island, Georgia for more than two decades.

When he’s not reporting, Flynn loves taking part in equestrian competitions and often travels back to Columbia, South Carolina for Gamecock football and basketball games.
