FIRST ALERT: Dry front brings cool down for upcoming weekend; morning frost possible
FRIDAY: A reinforcing, dry cold front slides through Friday, ushering in a fresh batch of cooler air. Expect mostly sunny skies with a breezy north wind. Highs top out in the lower to middle 60s. Skies turn clear overnight, allowing temperatures to fall into the lower to middle 40s.
SATURDAY: Our coolest day of the week; mostly to partly sunny skies with highs in the middle to upper 50s. Saturday night will be chilly under clear skies; the coldest night of the season so far; in the upper 30s in Memphis and middle 30s in outlying West Tennessee spots bringing frost potential nearly region-wide.
EXTENDED: Sunny skies and milder weather return Sunday with highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s and chilly mornings in the 30s to near 40. A slow warming trend takes over early next week, with highs rebounding into the upper 60s and lower 70s through mid-week. A weak system late Wednesday into Thursday brings a slight chance of a shower; another cool push arrives Friday with highs dipping back into the middle 60s.
