MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Week 3 of Friday Football Fever featured a great slate of games across the greater Memphis area, both in Tennessee and Mississippi.
In our Game of the Week, neighborhood rivals clashed. An all-Whitehaven battle saw the Tigers welcome their friends from two miles down the street, Fairley, to the Tigers’ Den.
The Bulldogs had the ball for the entire first quarter and then some but couldn’t capitalize, and Whitehaven took control the rest of the way. The Tigers pick up their second straight win with a 29-0 victory over the Bulldogs.
Other games featured include:
- Southwind beating Houston in a thriller 28-27
- Germantown dominating Sheffield 65-0
- Collierville scoring their first win of the year over Horn Lake 35-7
- Olive Branch defeating Lewisburg 49-30
