Music Export Memphis celebrates 10 years
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis’ newest music makers took center stage on Beale Street Saturday afternoon as Music Export Memphis celebrated a decade of growing the city’s sound.
Music Export Memphis marked 10 years on Saturday with a free Birthday Bash at W.C. Handy Park on Beale Street.
The non-profit was founded back in 2016 to support touring local artists, who would in return promote the city’s musical scene.
This family-friendly event featured live performances from artists the group has supported over the last decade, plus DJ sets, games, and giveaways.
Tonight at 10:00 hear from organizers who say they are proud to be a part of the New Movement of music coming straight out of the Bluff City.
Organizers said this event was made to help local musicians build touring careers while spotlighting Memphis’ contemporary sound to drive tourism and economic development.
