Arkansas State Police warn parents about fleeing with kids

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Arkansas State Police are urging parents to pull over after outrage over pursuits where suspects had kids in the car.

Colonel Mike Hagar says he can’t fathom fleeing with children inside. He points to a May 24th chase near Camden where a driver hit more than 100 miles an hour, swerved into oncoming traffic, then crashed and overturned.

Troopers pulled four young children from the vehicle. An unrestrained infant was ejected from the SUV, away from live power lines.

The driver now faces multiple felony charges, including endangering the welfare of a minor.
