FAYETTE COUNTY, Tenn. (WMC) - The Oakland Police Department is seeking suspects after an ATM was stolen from a bank Monday morning, police said.

A woman called 911 after she arrived at the Bank of Fayette County on Highway 64 and Highway 196 to withdraw money and found the ATM missing from the ground, authorities said.

A second caller reported seeing a truck dragging the ATM down the road at Highway 196 and Donelson Drive, with other vehicles following, police said.

Investigators believe the truck was stolen in Haywood County and have identified two other vehicles of interest, officials said.

Investigators also believe the theft is connected to another theft that occurred in Haywood County about a week earlier.

Haywood Co. Sheriff told Action News 5 the stolen truck belonged to a man who used the truck for farming and noticed it was missing from his shop when investigators gave him a call.

Police did not provide descriptions of the suspect or suspects and did not release further details.
