Over 4k arrests have been made by Memphis Safe Task Force, new data shows

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Safe Task Force has arrested more than 4,000 people as of Friday, according to new data released by the department.
The arrests include 15 people for homicides, more than 400 for drug offenses, 320 for gun crimes and 72 for sex offenses.
The task force has also arrested almost 400 gang members and seized over 600 illegally owned guns. Additionally, 123 missing children have been returned through the initiative.
The new arrests represent the latest activity by the Memphis Safe Task Force in its ongoing public safety efforts.
