Mom of 2 found dead inside Dollar Tree freezer, reports say
(Gray News) - An investigation is underway after a woman was found dead inside a Dollar Tree store freezer in Florida, according to multiple reports.
According to Miami Police, officers arrived at the Dollar Tree at 968 Southwest Eighth Street at 8 a.m. after an employee called and said there was a dead woman inside the store, CBS News reported.
Officers found the woman’s body inside a freezer.
The woman was identified as Helen Massiell Garay Sanchez, 32.
Miami police said Sanchez walked into the store Saturday night before it closed, didn’t buy anything and then went to a freezer in the back storage room, where she spent the night, WFTV reported.
Sanchez was found by an employee in the morning.
Garay Sanchez was “a devoted physician and beloved mother of two,” who was originally from Nicaragua, according to a GoFundMe set up by her family.
The circumstances surrounding her death remain under investigation, as authorities confirmed she was not an employee of the store.
