Woman accused of fracturing mom’s hip, using pepper spray on her, court records show
MIDFIELD, Ala. (WBRC/Gray News) - An Alabama woman is facing charges for allegedly shoving her mother and injuring her in separate situations.
According to court records, Quiana Siobhan Bell is charged with elder abuse and neglect, and assault, second degree.
A criminal complaint stated that Bell shoved her mother to the ground in August 2024, and the impact from that fall fractured her hip, which required her to undergo surgery.
In a separate incident, Bell is accused of pepper-spraying her mother in the face. Court records said first responders were called to “decontaminate” her.
The Midfield Police Department said it is investigating the case, which is being prosecuted by the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office-Bessemer Division.
