Memphis firefighter arrested, accused of DUI
OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. (WMC) - A Memphis firefighter is accused of driving under the influence in DeSoto County.
Records show that deputies arrested 33-year-old Cedric Wade early Monday morning on charges of careless driving, having an expired license plate, and a first-offense DUI.
According to the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office, his arrest came during a traffic stop at Alexander Road and DeSoto Road in Olive Branch.
The Memphis Fire Department confirms that Wade is currently employed with the department, but he is now suspended pending the investigation.
He has since bonded out of the DeSoto County Jail on a $750 surety bond.
Wade’s next court date is set for January 22.
