‘Tragic discovery’: Man found dead inside donation box, authorities say

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KWTX/Gray News) – A man was found dead inside a donation box in Texas early Monday morning, according to authorities.
In a Facebook post, Harris County constable Mark Herman said deputies responded to the “tragic discovery” at 6300 block of N Grand Parkway West after receiving a distress call reporting a man trapped inside a donation box.
Herman said first responders found the man and began rescue efforts to get him out.
Fire crews worked to gain access and get the man out safely. However, he was later confirmed dead on the scene.
Authorities have asked the public to avoid the area to allow the emergency crews room to work.
