First responders take the stand as Brandon Isabelle’s double murder trial continues

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - More testimonies took place Monday, September 29, in the double murder trial of Brandon Isabelle.

Isabelle stands accused of throwing his 2-day-old baby into the Mississippi River after killing her mother in 2022.

Investigators note that Isabelle admitted to killing his girlfriend Danielle Hoyle and tossing their newborn daughter Kennedy into the Mississippi River.

During the trial, notable witnesses like the mother of Isabelle’s girlfriend, April Campbell, took the stand.

Several first responders testified and described the conditions that made the search difficult, like an ice storm that forced them to delay looking for Kennedy and the gun used to kill Hoyle.

The infant’s body and the gun were never recovered.
