COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. (WMC) - Collierville police arrested a pair of shoplifting suspects on Tuesday, only to find out that the two women were reportedly part of a regional theft ring and wanted out of several states.

Police say the suspects, who have not been named, are also undocumented Romanian nationals with ICE holds in place.

They were both wanted out of Tennessee, North Carolina, Wisconsin, South Carolina, and Ohio for undisclosed charges.

CPD says their arrest came after Kohl’s reported that two women shoplifted more than $3,500-worth of merchandise, primarily cosmetics, on Tuesday.

Police say the suspects were safely apprehended as they attempted to flee the area.

The two women, Francesca Lupeanu, 23, and Jenifer Antonescu, 22, are both now facing charges for theft of merchandise.
