MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - On September 2, 1995, Michael Jackson earned his 12th and final number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with “You Are Not Alone.”
The milestone came the same year Jackson made headlines here in Memphis, visiting with then-wife Lisa Marie Presley.
Fans lined up across the city to catch a glimpse of the pop star whose connection to Memphis ran deep through his marriage to Elvis Presley’s daughter.
Jackson’s music and his ties to Memphis continue to leave a lasting mark.
