Former Shelby County Commissioner Julian Bolton dies at age 75
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The family of former Shelby County Commissioner Julian Bolton confirmed he passed away, leaving a lasting legacy of public service to the Memphis community.
Bolton was a fixture on the Shelby County Commission, serving his constituents for more than two decades.
His family provided a statement to Action News 5 on Monday evening:
Bolton also mentored current Memphis City Councilman JB Smiley and is credited for his ascent in local politics.
