2 dead, 3 others injured after shooting at Infiniti Sports Bar
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened during the early morning hours of May 6 that left two people dead and three others injured.
According to MPD, the shooting took place at the Infiniti Sports Bar on N. Watkins Street near Overton Crossing.
Around 1:53 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call at the Infiniti Sports Bar on N. Watkins Street near Overton Crossing.
When officers arrived, one male was located and pronounced deceased at the scene; another male was transported in critical condition to a nearby hospital and later pronounced deceased after succumbing to his injuries.
MPD says that two male victims were transported by private car to a nearby hospital in critical condition, a fifth victim, a female, was also transported privately to a hospital in non-critical condition.
Officers learned during the initial investigation that a verbal altercation began inside the bar, which led to gunshots.
