Mississippi man arrested for fleeing police, threatened suicide in parking lot of Walmart
HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. (WMC) - The Marshall County Sheriff’s office has arrested a man who barricaded himself in a parking lot in a Holly Springs Walmart, threatening to shoot himself.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, the Mississippi Highway Patrol attempted to stop a vehicle on Highway Four.
The vehicle fled from officers and stopped at a Walmart in Holly Springs.
A man inside the vehicle pointed a gun at his head and refused to get out.
After a long standoff, the officers were able to detain the man and transport him to the Marshall County jail.
The man was identified as 47 year old Daniel Adams Jr.
He is facing charges for possession of a firearm as well as other misdemeanors.
