Principal transferred to another school after student complaints, temporarily reassigned, MSCS says

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis Shelby County Schools is reviewing complaints from students and parents that resulted in the principal’s temporary transfer.
According to MSCS, due to concerns raised by parents and students of Sheffield High School, Dr. Melanie Black has been temporarily reassigned to Central Office.
MSCS also says that the transfer was done to limit distractions and allow a fair and thorough review to be completed.
In her temporary role, Dr. Black will assist with various tasks, including academic planning.
